The Choc Mint standard

Sourcing

Every Choc Mint card is sourced through verified channels — trusted brokers, direct submissions, or auction houses with full provenance. We do not list anything we couldn't trace back to a legitimate origin.

Verification

Slabs: cert numbers verified through the grader's official database before listing. We photograph the cert closeup at minimum 2000 × 2000 resolution so you can verify it yourself.

Raw singles in this tier are rare — usually only Trophy or signed cards. Each is inspected under raking light, weighed, and cross-referenced against known authentic comparators.

Photography

Six photos minimum per Choc Mint listing: front, back, top edge, bottom edge, corner closeup, and full cert closeup (slabs) or signature closeup (signed cards). Photographed in daylight or 5500K studio lighting. No filters, no auto-enhance, no Photoshop beyond cropping.

Packing

  • Case saver (extra rigid PVC shell over the slab)
  • Two full layers of bubble wrap
  • Double-walled cardboard box sized exactly to the slab
  • Corner protection inserts
  • Sealed in tamper-evident tape

Shipping

Auspost SecurePost insurance is included on every Choc Mint order. Signature required on delivery. Tracking with email updates at every scan.

Documentation

Before we pack, we photograph the product at every stage: in the case saver, wrapped, in the box, sealed. The photos are emailed to you alongside the tracking. If anything's ever disputed in transit, you have an audit trail.

What it costs

Choc Mint pricing reflects the work, the sourcing, and the risk we take to inventory these cards. We price ~10–15% above the last comparable sold listing on the major auction platforms (PWCC, Goldin, eBay live auctions) and revise pricing every 30 days. Underpriced Choc Mint reads as a red flag — we'd rather price honestly.

Returns & disputes

Graded slabs are non-returnable once the case has been opened. Visual condition disputes (case damage in transit, cert mismatch with the card pictured) are handled case-by-case — email within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we will make it right. If a third-party grader subsequently confirms a card is counterfeit, we refund the purchase price plus your grader submission cost.

How to buy

If you'd like additional photos before buying, email scoopedtcg@gmail.com. We respond within 24 hours.

For very-high-value Choc Mint orders ($5,000+ AUD), we recommend bank transfer to avoid card processing fees. We'll waive the equivalent off the order. Get in touch and we'll arrange it.
